This years AGM
was organised to coincide with the BEVA Spring workshop on poor
performance in Newmarket. At the AGM Charlie Smith resigned from
the committee and ARVS would like to thank him for the hard work
he put in and the great success he achieved in recruiting
sponsors for the meetings organised by the association.
David Mathieson has
taken over as sponsorship secretary and his duties as the
meetings organiser have been assumed by new committee member
Prof. Chris Proudman. Chris has been a long standing supporter
of the association and is a founder member.
New Head Vet at
BHA. Tim Morris took up the new post of Head of the
Veterinary and Welfare department at the BHA at the start of the
year. Tim has been keen to seek the views of the ARVS and he and
his senior Veterinary Officers have already met with ARVS to
discus several areas of mutual concern. ARVS is also now
represented on the BHA Veterinary Committee, so if you feel that
you have concerns or views that need to be taken forward please
contact us.
This Years CMS
will be held at Warwick Racecourse on Tuesday the 9th
of December.
