The Casualty Management Course for 2017 is to be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on 27th & 28th November 2017. A registration form and programme are available in the Events & Membership sections of the website.
You are reminded that veterinary surgeons working on racecourses and point to point courses are required to have been qualified for a minimum of 5 years, have attended CMS prior to working at a race meeting and then attended at least every 5 years. Those members needing to attend this year should have been sent a reminder but the responsibility is ultimately yours to keep this up to date. If you are in any doubt about your attendance, please don’t hesitate to contact the ARVS secretary.
Next year the CMS will return to Aintree Racecourse, so if you are due to attend next year and Cheltenham is significantly nearer to you, you may wish to attend this year. There is plenty of room at the moment but the course will close when full so you are advised to apply early.
